Lathan Williamson

Lathan Williamson is this year's Fine Art at the Magnolia Rising Star Scholar! Congratulations, Lathan! He is currently studying at UCF.

Lathan Williamson was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Atlanta before moving to Lakeland at age 11. From an early age, he found inspiration in Legos, pencils, and sketchpads, cultivating a creative spirit that continues to grow. Every day experiences with his family, his surroundings, and the world’s beauty fuel his artistic vision. When capturing his subjects, Lathan seeks out compelling ideas, personalities, and styles, always threading themes of equality and justice throughout his work. He is passionate about exploring mixed media to discover the best voice for each project and concept. A graduate of Harrison School of the Arts, Lathan is eager to expand his horizons in graphic design, architecture, fashion, and more as he begins his collegiate journey at the University of Central Florida.
